Rutgers University medical students, Akua Amoah and Angelica Lagasca, assisted Programs for Parents in developing a lead campaign by researching lead and its causes and by identifying organizations that provide lead resources. They worked at PfP Newark headquarters and were part of the Equity in Action Summer Internship Program (EASI), which is an initiative of the School of Public Health at Rutgers University. Each summer, EASI provides students with an understanding of one community’s particular health issues through a social justice lens.
